I've taught Chinese 1 through AP Chinese Language and Culture courses, including collegiate-level Chinese culture, history, and language courses. I love the language and the opportunity to understand China's rich history and culture through this beautiful language. As with learning any skill, it will take time and effort, but I've helped over a hundred students improve their Mandarin in the last 6 years.

From beginning reader phonics to upper elementary math and science to high school AP US history, I love the challenge of working with students to tackle their assignments or help them guide their own learning in that subject area.

Tutoring in these areas may include a variety of individual services. 

    - Tutor support with assignments from school

Voice lesson: focuses on using vocal exercises to improve vocal technique and strengthen a singers' repertoire. 

Vocal coaching: focuses on performance of the singers' repertoire; working on acting, diction, musical interpretation, staging, phrasing etc.

Both areas are included in our lessons. Students choose songs they want to perform, and we use those songs as a vehicle to practice vocal techniques to strengthen tone, pitch, placement, and breath support. After spending time to solidify these techniques, we train performance principles. We specialize in contemporary and classical musical theater, though healthy vocal techniques are applicable to strengthen your voice in ANY genre!

Students don't need to be interested in musical theater to improve the performance of their song. Even artists in concert plan intentional performances based on similar principles!

More and more parents are choosing to homeschool their kids, and there are many curriculum options, but parents may feel unconfident in their ability to teach the curriculum.

1) Trust yourself. Like becoming a parent, if you follow your gut and love your child, you can figure a lot out as you go along.

2) I'm here to help out! Whether you want teaching tips for multiple ages, or to consult on designing instruction that fits your kids' needs, I'm here for it!

Here are some of the options parents have requested, but we can create a plan based on your goals and needs. 

    - One-time, basic teaching principles tutorial 

    - Weekly or monthly curriculum buddy to walk through upcoming lessons, discuss ideas and incorporate best teaching practices

    - Planning session and regular follow-up consultations (setting up a routine, online courses, day-to-day plan connected to overall goals) 

     - (Branson/Ozark Area Option) In-person meeting or teaching support/tutoring
